A man with short, dark hair swept down over his forehead, wearing a whit polo shirt with brown and orange bands around the body, and a blue pair of jeans, standing on a stage and playing a brown and white bass guitar.
A flash has frozen him in time, while a long exposure, a slight zoom, his movement, and the stage lights have combined to paint the area around him in red.
Amplifiers sit on the stage behind him, also tinted red, while the walls and ceiling at the back of the stage are black, with green speckles of reflected light on metal frames right at the back. — Will Thomson, bassist with Mancunian rockers Sandbox, at a gig at Academy 3, Manchester University Students Union, 5th August 2005.
